This is a separate project from Frenchies Subs. What I'm doing here is retiming Gattai subs for Shin Mazinger bluray raws.

Considering that Gattai already did the bandai channel version of episode 3 to 15, I haven't found additional lines to add in the blue ray version of episode 11 but I'm bound to encounter them sooner or later, so if you can translate from japanese to english, you can help by sending me a message, and then I'll send you the soft subs already timed with the empty lines, and all you'd have to do is fill in the blanks! Maybe later, we can try to stick the subs to the raws as an mkv file.

I looked a bit at the episode 11 ass and seems there is the japanese subtitles included? (If yes, it's definitively sure than I can help you).

Thanks for trying to help me but let me explain because it's kind of complicated.


There are 3 versions of the show.

TV Version - That's the one that aired in japan. It's around 21 minutes per episode. This has already been subbed by Shinsen.
BD Channel - From episode 1 to 15, they aired another version on the bandai channel website which was 23 minutes long per episode. It had extra footage. From episode 3 to 15, Gattai has included these extra footage to the tv version. Those are the subs I'm retiming. From 16 to 26, Bandai Channel stopped the extra footage stuff.
BR Version - All 26 episodes have the extra footage (23 minutes), and sometimes even more than what the BD Channel provided. Gattai had plans to do them, but they didn't because their translator went missing, and gave anyone the greenlight to do whatever they want with their subs.

I retimed episode 11 subs by Gattai (the one that has the bd footage mixed in the tv version) for the blue ray, and there wasn't any additional lines. But from episode 16 to 26, it has still unsubbed footage so there aren't any japanese text for those. I probably need to add these lines myself.

So the next episode I'm retiming is the very first one (Gattai didn't include the bd footage in this one), and I'll be adding the timed lines (without any text in it) as well. so you will probably have to download the raws and open them up in aegis sub so you know which line I would be referring to.

I tried writing down the japanese text from listening to the dialogue, but it's kind of hard.

The second part have some voices covered with the sound-effects so it's pretty hard for me to tell, I'll try ask a friend for this one too, except the last sentence :

btw can you explain the narrator speech in the early lines?

i'm not sure i understood what he said.

from what I understood,

kouji's saying that he will not regret his actions, if the human life is remade over and over again (who's human life)? and that he will follow the same path again, without any fear.

I think human life here means "humanity" in general.
